About Purple Rooms…
Our Purple Rooms are our baby room department with a staff:child ratio of 1:3. Our Purple Room follows both a generic nursery routine as well adapting routines for each individual child. We put true heartfelt emphasis into making our Purple Room very much a home-from-home environment. The babies enjoy three separate rooms throughout their day; they have a room used mainly for soft play, small world play, a reading and a cosy area; the room reflects a loving and welcoming environment for all our babies.
They have a second room which we refer to as a ‘Creative Room’, this room is where babies enjoy more sensory and messy based play activities. Babies have their meals in this room, sitting at low level tables and highchairs specifically made for our smallest children. The third room is a separate sleep room, used solely for the children’s naps throughout the day; with reduced noise levels, calm and relaxing music and lighting.
Staff work very closely with parents, establishing trustful and purposeful relationships with the babies and their whole families.
The babies also enjoy the outside areas, they have a smaller separate outside space soley for their age group which promotes key person interactions whilst enjoying the pleasure of the outside air.
Upon the approach of your child’s 2nd birthday they will be transitioned upstairs to our two year old room, our Green Room. As parents you will be involved in this transition and meet your child’s new key person. Your child’s next chapter starts here!
